Business Community Prefers iPhone over BlackBerry

When it comes to a smart business phone Blackberry is considered to be a market leader but not anymore because iPhone has gained more popularity than the business phone giant. Recently a survey was conducted by iPass to acquire what phone businessmen prefer to have and majority of them opted for iPhone. Survey was conducted among more than 2300 business personnel and the outcome coincided iPhone with a share of 45 percent. It seemed healthy sign for Apple as their share augmented from the previous year’s 31 percent.

Coming in second place was the long reigned BlackBerry with a share of 32 percent which is a little lower than previous year’s 35 percent. Leaving behind in third place was the Android which left the Nokia’s Symbian platform behind while holding a share of 21 percent out of the total polling.

This recent fall in the share of BlackBerry is not because people taste has been changed, it is because other mobile company are coming up with more and more attractive smartphones which has augmented their popularity.

And people might remain stick to their iPhones even in next year whereas the share of BlackBerry might to tend to .fall further; the reason is when the workers were asked which businessphone they will buy in the next year, iPhone accounted for 18 percent whereas Android device accounted for 11.2 percent and Microsoft’s Window Phone accounted for 3.6 percent and BlackBerry with unfortunately 2.3 percent.

Smartphones now play a key role in most of the enterprise, according to polling 95 percent of the workers own smartphones and among them 91 percent of the workers use them for work.
